Beanscene, the rapidly expanding food, coffee and music house, will host a free Gimme Shelter Christmas Show headlined by BMX Bandits on the afternoon of Saturday 15th December at 67 Holyrood Road, Parkgate, Edinburgh.
Gimme Shelter, the music festival that aims to raise funds and awareness for the housing and homeless charity Shelter, has quickly established a reputation for showcasing the best signed and un-signed acts in the country.
The full line-up for the Beanscene Gimme Shelter Christmas Show is: BMX Bandits; Aidan Smith; Down the Tiny Steps; Little Pebble; The Dead Beat Club; The Kays Lavelle; Richie Gallagher and Kat Healy.
Beanscene founder Gordon Richardson said, "At Beanscene the vibe is all about creating somewhere for people to sit back and soak up the sound of established and grassroots acts over an espresso and a bite to eat in their own backyard. We're fully on board with the aims of the Gimme Shelter 3 music festival and are delighted that Beanscene can help play a part in raising awareness of what Shelter's all about."
Beanscene has enjoyed close links with the local music scene since its inception. Whilst the stores' regular acoustic in-store performances are now firmly established on the live gig circuit, with performers having included such established music artists as KT Tunstall, Chris Difford, Mull Historical Society and Boo Hewerdine, earlier this year the shops launched a pioneering music download store enabling customers to purchase any song from its unique AAA (Alternative Adult Album) format in-store radio station that catches their ear as they hear it either by download or by sms text.
The Gimme Shelter Christmas Show at Beanscene will run from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday 15th December at Holyrood Road, Edinburgh. Entry is free.
The full Gimme Shelter 3 music festival will take place over the weekend of the 14th, 15th & 16th December in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
